Virica is pleased to announce it is part of the Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H), a new research hub designed to protect Canadians against future pandemics and emerging threats.

This multidisciplinary hub is part of an investment by the Government of Canada to grow a strong and competitive biomanufacturing and life sciences sector.

“To continue to protect Canadians and to build a resilient biomanufacturing ecosystem, our government is taking every action possible to be equipped with the best tools. We’re proud to foster the research needed to produce cutting-edge discoveries and products in our very own labs that will help us build a stronger, more robust life sciences sector that responds to the needs of Canadians for decades to come,” said the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, in a PRESS RELEASE.

“We look forward to using our yield-enhancing technology to accelerate the manufacturing of made-in-Canada medicines, in a cost-effective and timely fashion,” said Ella Korets-Smith, Chief Strategy Officer, Virica Biotech.

To bridge the gap between lab and market, CP2H brings together more than 45 strategic partners from academia, industry, non-profit and governmental agencies from across Canada.
